What is justice? (poem)

What is justice?

What is justice,
South Yorkshire Police?
Is it the lie you told,
To family’s of the deceased?

Or is it the time,
You watched 96 die,
Crushed up against the fence,
In the hue and cry?

Or is it when,
You didn’t help the wounded,
Adding to the deaths,
Of the many lives that ended?

You confessed that you lied,
But still got off free,
Now that doesn’t seem,
Like justice to me.

By Sarah Mason aged 12 to remember the 96 lost in the Hillsborough disaster.
